I’ve been on SSRIs for several years, and recently decided to taper off. This process has been surprisingly challenging, and I wanted to share my experience to help others. The initial few weeks were marked by a range of symptoms, from anxiety to sleep disturbances. It was important to stay patient and consistent with my tapering schedule. I found that journaling my experiences and connecting with support groups was incredibly helpful. It allowed me to process my emotions and stay motivated during the difficult times. Ultimately, the withdrawal process was a significant learning experience. I’ve learned the importance of listening to my body and seeking professional guidance when needed.
